First let me start off by saying I’m frequently told I look significantly younger than I actually am, so don’t be fooled by how I look. Since my early teenage years, or for well over a decade, I’ve loved to read all kinds of dating advice columns and magazines both online and offline. I’ve studied these and related topics in university, and I am a huge advocate for female power and taking control of your own life as a woman. My obsession has become a passion so it’s no surprise that I’m going to start blogging about it.

I think I have an internet stalker. However, my parents aren’t doing anything about it. I am in the musical theater business, and recently did a regional production that led me to meet this guy. He seems to be a huge musical theater nerd and came off a little creepy, but I thought this is just something to get used to if I want to pursue my acting career. He took pictures with a few of the young girls in the cast and posted it to his Instagram, no big deal. Then he began to text my Instagram account almost every single day.

My parents monitor my account, thankfully, but I have complete access to it through my phone. He would invite me to his events and text me about random things, but typically, neither my parents or I respond. He found me at a sports game my friend was singing at and would not leave me and her alone. He calls us our best friends. I think this guy is in his twenties and it is really creeping me out.

An advice column is a column in a question and answer format. Typically, a usually anonymous reader writes to the media outlet with a problem in the form of a question, and the media outlet provides an answer or response. The responses are written by an advice columnist colloquially known in British English as an agony aunt , or agony uncle if the columnist is male [note 1].
